Erin Ure and Ryan Trembath - 19th September 2009 Photography Annie Warren, Reception The Boardwalk
Ryan and I became engaged in August 2007 and so had plenty of time to organize our special day! We both have simple tastes and enjoy good food and food company more than anything else! The Boardwalk for our reception was an easy choice because it is our favourite restaurant in Bendigo. We really wanted to have a personal ceremony and so we chose all our reading ourselves and wrote our own vows that were kept secret from each other until the big day. Having all our stationery personalized too for our guests really added a special touch as our guests really felt included in the day and in our journey as a couple.
After attending the 'I Do I Do' Bridal Expo earlier in the year, one wedding stationery display stood apart from the rest. 'It's A Date Event Design' had the personalized and quality standard of invitations we were looking for and I immediately contacted Lyndsay Meager Sann. We booked an appointment and talked with Lyndsay about the colours we were thinking and the kinds of styles we liked. We were very happy with the mock ups Lyndsay did and eagerly thought of other projects for our day. Lyndsay individually designed for our amazing invitations, Order of Service booklets, vow cards, gift cards for the bridal party, menus for the reception, table numbers, an amazing Wish Tree which took the place of a guest book and the one of a kind seating chart which was probably my favourite. The Seating Chart was a pin board covered with purple paper and 12 white photo frames.
Noeline Ead was recommended to us by many people for our cake. Our cake was 3 tiers and was finished off with beautiful lilies made from icing in white with purple highlights inside. They cascaded down the side of our cake and finished the whole look off! Lillies are my favourite flowers and so we talked with Jenny from Poppy's concept store about my bouquet, jenny also did the buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen, head wreaths and posies for our two flower girls and 12 wreaths of lilies for our table centre pieces at the reception. Jenny was amazing and we had MANY compliments about how beautiful all our flowers were!
Our Photographer was the Annie Warren, we met with Annie Warren almost a year before our wedding as wedding photographers in Bendigo get snapped up fast! Annie went through everything we would be doing on the day and then a few weeks before we met again and worked out the schedule for the day. Annie was wonderful and made us feel very supported in our ideas and locations that we were interested in. We were extremely pleased with our photos and will certainly use Annie again in the future!
